What you mentioned in your question is called as the game of using the " Jealousy card".

Even women tend to play such games with men also.

Other than this playing hard to get, acting as if they are not interested purposely delaying, taking time to reply to texts will all come under testing the woman's interest and playing hard to get. Even women also play the same mind game.

Hence in short men also more or less play the same mind games as women. In my view there is no difference as such.

However, I will add that playing such mind games are a sign of immaturity and childishness and it really degrades the person's reputation whose is playing these mind games.

If you like someone then show it, take things forwards and if you dislike them then break off all contact and move on with your life. It is as simple as that. This is easy to do and requires less effort, less energy as compared to playing mind games.

Mind games are a big waste of time.
