A "White Knight" is a pejorative term used to describe men who defend women with the assumption that they are looking for a romantic reward in return.

While there are plenty of men who stand up for women - especially in the real world where they risk immediate violent retaliation - without any ulterior motive, there has been a huge growth in "men" white-knighting, especially online, because they are looking to score sexual brownie points. This is particularly true for SJW types/"male feminists". I'm not sure if it's EVER worked out for them, but it doesn't stop them from doing it. Clearly they don't understand that they are making everything WORSE - even for the women they think they are protecting.

For any guy guilty of doing this, just know that it's NEVER going to get you a girl. If there is the slightest hint that you have an ulterior motive (and remember, women are much more perceptive about this), then she is not going to respect you, and her vagina will be dry. Moreover, her ego will be further inflated, and that's not good for anyone.

Society is already in a terrible state because women are almost always protected and bailed out of the consequences of their choices and actions. What they need is to face those consequences and deal with them on their own, and this is especially true online. I don't mean you should stand by and watch some man beat her, but then again, the white knight types rarely get physically involved - they mostly just yell in crowds or online. If a woman uses her words and gets herself in trouble, then she needs to use her words to get herself out trouble, even if it means admitting that she was wrong. She doesn't need your help, especially if she can't defend her position with facts.

You cannot negotiate the world based on your feelings - the world will crush you and you will be miserable. Facts, even facts you don't like, must be the basis of dealing with the world, and how you build your worldview.

There's those "Radfems," some of whom are sincere, but mostly are simps in the actual meaning of the word. I've talked to some male friends, and they assure me that mostly they just hate to see a woman hurt. Literally.

In my experience with video games, though quite limited, men tend to be nice once they discover I'm female. I'd heard of this, but I thought it would come with more pushy texts - asking for my number or something. Nope. That was it. Just nice.

Always watch how they treat other people. If they stick up for everyone, they are probably just a good person. If they only stick up for specific people, particularly attractive women, yes I would say it’s probably because they want to get laid.

It's unfortunate really. Most can't be themselves so they use this tactic as a way of attracting a woman and they do attract them... as a friend.

nope... every time I did it, was because it was the right thing to do, had nothing to do with sex

and every time it happened, I had my own relationship so I certainly was not looking for something I already had

and most of the times it was just a prime reaction...

Most of the time, yes. Otherwise, they'd only do it for a friend or relative. It would also count as, according to the woke crowd, "benevolent sexism" because it assumes women are damsels in distress, and can't stand up for themselves.

Of course, if a woman is in physical danger from a mugger or would be rapist, that's one thing. But most white knights are lonely male feminists on the internet and only do it to win women's favor. The easiest way you can tell: They'll NEVER stick up for men or ugly women! There's your smoking gun, right there.

But as I think about it and look back on past experiences, I know that it's not always true. Depends on what they are standing up for. If a guy is blatantly being a douche bag to a woman for no good reason then yes a man should stand up for her. Especially if he’s being threatening or violent.

But in scenarios where the woman is being a cunt and the guy is just defending himself than the other guy jumps in then he is white knight piece of shit x100. He knows the woman is in the wrong but he rather throw the other guy under the bus just to improve his chances at getting laid. It’s beyond pathetic.

It's the same as guys who only befriend girls they want to fuck. I only want to fuck one of my female friends. I say friends loosely becuase the only person I've interacted with besides my parents, sister, and medical professionals since early March of 2020 is my girlfriend, so my friends and I don't really meet up anymore. Having said that, I hope my friendships can pick up where they left off when I can see people in person again. This friend who I want to fuck, actually wants to fuck me too. We haven't because we're both in a relationship, but we do like each other. We value relationships too much to jeopardize our current ones, as neither of our significant others are okay with us two doing anything. My opinion is that they care about her and that makes them want to protect her and ensure her happiness and well being... Do they sometimes want more? I would say usually but that's not the only reason they would protect her. They aren't doing it just to get laid, but because she is important to them.
