Random stranger starts conversation?

So yesterday i was outside and a random guy kept looking at me and then he asked me if i am from a different city or a local girl i told him i am from different city and told him the place and he started to make conversation he seemed calm and bit nervous he also told me his name by himself and where is he from and am i here for traveling to which i said I have moved here permanently... i wonder if he was interested in me or just nothing at all
