Its not bad. But I do keep piles of cardboard boxes in case of returns. And I find myself buying “backup” items. Just in case.

Throw away the majority of the boxes except for maybe 3 depending on how often you really return things and how often you accumulated them. Stop buying back up items

Throw the boxes away, from the items you can no longer return. In Germany its 2 years, unless you have an extended warrenty.

Okay. In Germany you got 2years warranty for everything and most stores offer an additional warranty, which is usually 5 years, and includes parts like the battery, which aren't included in the usual warranty.

I once made the mistake of throwing the cardboardbox away from my new curved monitor, and it was really hard to find a fitting box for the monitor to send it back for repair.

Maybe it's time to just take it down to the recycle center. In my town we have recyclable containers and they pick it up every other week it is part of our trash pick up.

I heard at one time that Walmart has a recycling bins for cardboard boxes

I dont see them at the one near me. But I tend to stay clear of Walmarts until their gentrified into Targets :)

Some communities have recycled centers in their towns you can Google the nearest one near you.

It’s like wood, and ash is good for the environment, Primarily volcanic ash but of course forest fire ash is also really good for the soil. You don’t want to burn plastic but old blanket cloths paper card board your good.
