The electrician that I unfortunately got paired with keeps taking his time to get to job sites so we can purposely get home between 9 and 11pm, all because he's been feeling a little lonely. I don't get how he bashes gay people, throws around the word "f****t," when he sees literally no problem spending way too much time with me, Another Man.

You need to check you RAMS (Risk Assesment and Method Statement), in there you will have all the details at hand. If not check with Work Allowance (working hours) that you have Agreed Upon. And if he is in Breach, Report his ass... i guess if he's gay, that he is "working a plan " to "work you out", if it is that then just "gather" evidence and Report his ass for Missconduct, and Sexual Harrassment! Simple.
Then ask to be transferred to another person.

It is time for you to analyze what you want in your career and where you want to go. A pissy, cry baby, and/or running to the Union Vendor reputation spreads. If you want to do side work and/or open your own Business you have zero chance if you do not endure WITHIN SAFE MEASURES.

In the world, A/C guys who don't do electrical will hook-up with their electricians. And the plumber guy, on cases where heat-air/plumber need to be there together, and discuss "good electricians" Referral and growth come from within and this includes commercial and residential.
