When I told him that he was my man after he tells me that I’m his girl , that doesn’t mean anything right?

Hey guys, so my guy best friend and I have been friends for almost 2 years. At the end of last year I told him that my now ex boyfriend cheated on me , but after I told him that I’ve noticed how ge started treating me differently. What I mean by differently , is that I’ve noticed how he has been treating me with pet names couples call each other. I thought it was weird, and so I stopped talking to him because I was starting to catch feelings and I was also talking to someone after like months of being single. So then 3 months past and I talked to my guy friend again cause I missed him. When I got back to talking with him again, he started treating me the same way again. But this time it was more noticeable. He started treating me like a girlfriend , etc. So a few weeks ago he called me his girl. I didn’t think Nothing of it. Then a week past and a few days ago he literally tells me I like you a lot. I was shocked I didn’t know what to say. But then two days past and he says, “ you’re my girl “ I didn’t know how to respond to that so I just said “ then you’re my man “. I don’t want to assume anything though.
