Do I fear it? No.
Is it going to happen? No.
I don't fear it because I can control it and prevent it.
Most men are fully aware that crying, outside the severe injury or death of someone close to them, is going to result in losing the respect of those who witness this, and probably others who hear stories of such. This is undesirable, so men keep their emotions in check, at least until they have privacy. If a man's got to cry, he's going to do it away from other people.
Men are not machines - we have deep feelings about things - but we also know the very high price that will be paid if we fail to be stoic around other people. Even women who swear that this will bring them closer to her man can't help but lose respect for him - and some have admitted that his happened even though they were previously confident that it wouldn't.
Men can publicly show joy, happiness, disappointment, and even anger - but we must not show pain or weakness. Everything about the world teaches us this, and we've seen what happens to men who fail this test.
For most of us, imagining this doesn't build fear; it builds RESOLVE.
Not really, no.
It's honestly been so long since I've cried, I don't even think I'm capable of it, anymore. I tried, recently, and nothing happened. 🤷♂️
I wouldn’t say I “fear” it. I’ve cried in public before. I’m more comfortable crying in front of a stranger than someone I’m close to tbh
No because I would cry in public. I would wait till I’m all alone first
Not really and I've done plenty of it!!
No because I wouldn’t.
I wouldn't cry in public.
I don't fear it, but I don't do it.

I shouldn’t but I do.
