Giving someone space means leaving them alone with their thoughts. That includes no texting. I'm gonna be totally honest with you; you fucked things up pretty hard and he needs a moment to sort everything out in his head. The best thing you can do is give him another 2 weeks and touch base in early November. The good news is that guys are usually genuinely processing things when they ask for a break. It's not like he's usually asking for a break so he can go fuck other women. You should really be passed the point of insecurities in your relationship by this point (situation dependent, of course), so I can empathize with his frustration.

Just take a deep breath and trust the process. Y'all have been together for more than 5 years; he has a lot riding on this decision too.

Tbh I'm still trying to get use to the app I didn't know how it worked, he wasn't paying for ages with bills and stuff so we argued and then not long after that I had an incident that really set my social skills to one side and I ask him for support for this and he got angry about it, I have recently seeked help to be able to communicate better with how I can tell him how I felt about this police incident but its too late he already doesn't forgive me for what I did when I felt he wasn't doing anything to comfort this need and not paying to keep house running I felt kicking him out was right at the time, now I believe it wasn't and if I'd have learnt to communicate this better it might have helped but I just want to respect his time but I'm unsure if it's generally leave him too it (he still text me) or just every now and again, I'm just trying to do it better that's all
