My ex boyfriend's best friend got me a sweet bday gift, is that weird?

Well last year my ex was supposed to get me a necklace that I wanted and he never did for my bday. So this year his best friend bought me the same necklace from a popular anime I really like. Apparently he asked my ex if it would be weird and he said no. The best friend was supposed to hang out with us but he said he was tired so he stopped by to give me the gift and left. He said he saw it and thought of me and knew I'd like it.

The best friend also kept asking me if "I'm ok" which was strange because I didn't do anything weird.

My ex has said before that he thinks the best friend might like me. He said he treats me different than other girls and he talks/asks about me when I'm not there. He's flirted with me in the past, like laying his head on my lap or shoulder, or saying I look cute over and over, he touched me a lot to get my attention like on my arms/thigh, and we also have a lot in common it's actually pretty uncanny he tends to still be shocked that I'm into anime and stuff lol

But yea, does anyone think it's a little weird? Also my ex didn't get me anything at all (yet but I doubt it) but his best friend did. Opinions?

I agree. My ex said he treats me differently than other girls that he's pursuing. Oh I didn't even mention how when my ex isn't around he's said some sly stuff about my boobs multiple times (they're big). And I remember back when I hung out with them more I'd be laying on my ex's bed and best friend would come lay on my legs and basically be all over me

Lol yea I was surprised he got that comfortable doing that to me, because it happened every time he saw me and my ex didn't say anything to him. Hmm then I can understand why my ex acts weird about it sometimes. I mean everyone I talk to about it say that they think the friend likes me but he won't do anything because I'm his friends ex. Like the other day at a party I got there late and apparently best friend said he was leaving before I got there. But then when I got there he stayed for hours and people said how they thought he was leaving and he said he forgot to leave, but he talked to me the whole time. I try not to assume all this stuff mean anything though I guess

I kinda already came to the conclusion that I don't want my ex back, he doesn't really consider my feelings and I don't think it'd work out.

I have love for my ex but I'm really enjoying just being friends again with no pressure.

As for the friend, I can't say I haven't thought about it. But when I first met him I wasn't paying attention to him at all. Then after he flirted with me all yhe time then I started thinking about it.
