Why did he lie about living with his girlfriend?

I work with this guy. We are just friends. I feel he might be a little bit smitten with me, but maybe that’s my assumption. His girlfriend found my social media and stalks it if we are on a work project or trip together. I support his relationship. I am upset in the friend department because he lied about living with her for one year, traveling to Spain together, and also that they’ve been serious almost two years. He told me they are not serious and he offered that information to me randomly when I asked him about a work related question. Just started babbling. I feel lied to as a friend, and like my intelligence is in question. I also found the girlfriends Pinterest by looking her up and she’s been pinning my clothes and even my dog. Is there something weird going on or am I paranoid? I even showed my family and they agree she and him are odd. Why is he lying to me? I think it’s unfair / sketchy / who wants a work partner who’s a liar. They can’t be trusted! Opinions? Am i right to feel insulted / whats his motive! I’m offended

Why is it so strange for a woman, who is successful, to have a male coworker who is just her friend. Considering he is 20 years older than me. I don’t think these old school views really apply to everybody’s situation; but I appreciate you taking the time to write a not so helpful comment. .
