Guys, can you help me?

I have been sort of seeing this guys. We flirted for quite some time. One day I asked for a kiss goodbye. I knew he was a virgin and that he had never kissed a girl before so I was expecting a shy kiss on the lips. I saw he was nervous and he was talking too much, but then he kissed me let’s say he missed his train home. We carried on with just kissing for a while but one night when we were kissing I had my hand in his pocket and he made a move so my hands were on him. Things naturally progressed but I took it slowly. Then one day I finally decided to let him touch me and he went wild. We had sex that night. He only lasted a couple of minutes but or me it was special too knowing I was his first. The smile on his face afterwards said it all.
But then two days later he fell ill with a nasty flu. When I went to see him for s kiss he said he was sick. I asked him plainly if we were good and if I could carry on seeing him and he said 100% when he got better.
The truth is he has been ill for three weeks now. I do know this to be true because we house share. When i asked him if he was too sick for a kiss before Christmas he said yes. I asked him if he was going to be sick permanently and he said he was getting better. So he went home and the next day he message me to wish me happy holidays and he did it in my language which I thought it was very cute.
the thing is part of me feels he perhaps wa the cat that got the cream and now he is done? Or is he being honest and he want to wait till he feels better? I am afraid to try and make a move again. I don’t even now how to make a move now. Guys help?
