Sis, please don't feel inferior. Don't compare yourself with your mom. Because her generation love rules are different and this present generation love rules got updated differently. Stay true to who you are. If people don't like you for you, it's not your problem.

Do nice things for yourself every day. Speak nicely to yourself in the mirror. It's a short life, you come into this world with only yourself and leave it the same.

Practice gratitude even for the small things. Trust me it does help.

Men are not as concerned with looks as some women think. I believe a lot of men would take a conventionally less attractive girl who has an amazing personality over a girl who has only looks.
