Why do girls make a fish face in pictures?!

Ok, it drives me insane. One of my friends does that in all of her pictures but she does it WAY too much and looks like a fish. Even when people do a little pout its annoying and makes them look really stupid...

Maybe guys have different preferences but it annoys the crap out of me. Is there a reason that people do that? And is it attractive for some reason?

Please I can not understand this trend. And seeing all of these people do it in their Facebook pictures and stuff or after they finish trying to make a point. PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS!

I'm not lesbian or anything. But I do have a thing about how I like when people smile. It just makes everyone look nicer. Girls and guys... any other input?

1. they're sheep.

guys & girls usually just go with whatever's common

2. they like making silly faces

3. to them their face looks cuter/more attractive

to them. some people don't care what others think

4. they want the focus on their lips

5. they like the fish face look

there's a difference between doing it because everyone else is & actually liking something for what it is.

too many people fear that liking something that's popular means that they're not unique

some girls know people find it unattractive so they do it just to make them mad

7. to ensure that guys won't start creeping on them or leaving them comments/sending messages complimenting them

not every compliment is appreciated so they do fish face as a preemptive attept to make sure that some creepy dude won't start compimenting them

* to commenters with issues with #7 just because you make a house look nice doesn't mean you want uninvited unwanted comments about the house. It means you may get attention you don't have to automatically like or appreciate it.

Just because a pretty girl posts a pic doesn't mean she should appreciate your compliment. It means she should expect attention doesn't mean it's wanted or invited or appreciated (she posted a pic she didn't post a pic to get your comments so it's not wanted)

maybe they think it is a great way to cause attention.

Like some people in their pictures they throw the middle finger up to show that they are rebellious and don't give an F what people think or something stupid like that.

I'm more of the "don't ever take a picture of me because I always look bad" type, and trying to cover my face with something :)

They think it looks sexy because it causes their lips to looks bigger, stands out in the picture and is supposed to "allure" the males. Not in my opinion though! ha ha A smile is much more prettier! :)
