How can I tell my boyfriend I no longer have feelings for him?

i just don't feel like being together with him anymore. i have fallen for another guy in my class. However if my current boyfriend finds out that i have fallen for another guy, he gets upset. he's an emotional guy and i'm afraid that he commits suicide. he is so protective and i'm fucking bored with his attitude towards me.

You have to just be honest w him. If he’s suicidal then continuing to be w him isn’t going to fix that. I believe it’s never a man or woman’s job to make their partner completely happy. That’s why I don’t agree w the saying, “happy wife, happy life.” First of all that just makes her sound like she’s a complete bitch all the time if she’s not happy. Second what if she’s unhappy about something that has nothing to do w you? Maybe she’s unhappy that she never finished school. A person has to make their self happy by fulfilling whatever it is they didn’t do or did wrong in their life by fixing it. Sure it’s usually always good having a partner in life, that’s just extra happiness. But ultimately that person is responsible for their happiness overall. If you feel as though he really would commit suicide then maybe make an anonymous call to get him help, or talk to a counselor if you can to ask how to go about handling this. But you shouldn’t be held hostage because you feel like he’s going to kill himself. You’re not going to be happy for one. Two, eventually he’s going to know you’re not happy. What are you going to do? Live the rest of your life being unhappy?

I do not know how long you two have dating. I suppose it does not matter, however, be certain before you do this. That being said, do it sooner than later as he probably will be crushed.-The sooner the less the pain though. I know it is not an easy undertaking on either you or his part. You have to do what is best for you and also best for him. Staying with this guy just because of what he "might" do is just as bad as leaving him for the right reasons.

As for telling him: keep it simple. "We need to end our relationship." Don't do a novel of why and boo hoo and all that. Just end it.
