Trending & News I think most women just want a man that is taller than them, and from a biological perspective, it makes sense. The primary desire of women is to feel safe. Resources make women feel safe, which is why women on average tend to prioritize what a man can do, rather than how he looks. The exception is stature, because a bigger man in most cases is more capable of protecting a woman. Its the same logic behind why a lot of women often enjoy being tossed around during sex. What's interesting about this, is that most of these desires if not all are unconscious. No different than why we men are more attracted on average to women that are feminine, soft, and loving. Both genders to an extent have pre-programming if you will, that dictates which characteristics within the opposite sex that we find attractive. So don't take it personally when a woman says she only dates men 6 foot for example.. Think about how many women never know what they want to eat.. Just like food, most women have no idea what they really want in a man, until they see it, or have it. The why is a bit complicated, but in short its because women most often don't make romantic decisions based on logic, they make them based on how they feel. Short men that date average height women, know this, and use it to their advantage. So game is ultimately the way around these perceived height obstacles when it comes dating as a shorter than average man. That's your key, if you're looking for it. Good Luck.
>I think most women just want a man that is taller than them, and from a biological perspective, it makes sense.
Women not only want taller men than them. They want their man to be taller than other men too. That's why you see 5 feet tall women go after 6 feet guys and say that 5,6 feet men are "too short".
I'm part of the lucky ones and I used to get teased at school for being taller, jokes on them đ
nice way of insulting short people without actually saying it. And you all wonder why short man are insecure
@kramchancel not only did I not insult short men, I emphasized that the way for short men to win, is by utilizing game. You can't navigate around or through an obstacle if you don't understand it, and that is precisely what my explanation was meant to assist anyone whom it applies to in doing. I'm not your enemy.
Women are 100% the problem for a person who accepts ideas from others. You can accept or reject any idea you hear. Most people don't do that though. They get emotionally involved in the idea and condition themselves.
To be clear, everyone is responsible for what they accept or reject.
That's why so many girls/guys on here think they are unlovable. They just accept horrible ideas about themselves (based on what their senses might be telling them) and then get emotionally involved until it becomes a belief. It's sad really. Basically their worst enemy is themselves.
Doesn't matter if most girls like tall guys or not. You don't have to accept that idea. Your belief system isn't going to slap you because (if) stats disagree; it will take anything you give it.
Also, women are more miserable than men. Also, any woman that claims a guy is "too pretty or feminine" is an insecure liar.
Any woman that claims they prefer height is an insecure liar.
Where's the body positivity for our short kings?
@Mmmariaxc no guy is feminine wtf? Softer and cuter doesn't mean "feminine". And most (likely even all) girls actually prefer that look. Women are nurtured to be "the prize" and only the insecure ones will miss out. The term "feminine" is misleading.
No one talks about "masculine" girls. That's right there aren't any. đ
Thats a good qruestion, honestly as odd as it may sound il not blame any side, but blame survival instenct and taller/bigger being a trait our monky brains seen as something that is more likely to help survive
That as manythings is something that hard to change, and will take its time
This also connect to taller pepole consider more in control, and more powerful as the reason before
So its no one yet everyone fault till we get that out of our minds that the Short King term is a good first step to doing it, and hopfully in time evolve for it mattering much less
This by the way show in both men and women in the way pepole use "draf" as an insult on someone
There is a bad contasion on this sadly
Itâs the men
Women feel the energy easily when men are insecure so in a way they also want to stay away from this.. insecurity they have.
You canât blame a women because of men heigh if they are insecure itâs their dilemma to fix it not the women problem.
In short : My shit is my shit you fix your own shit
Misandrist lol
Your opinion wonât change your height. What are you trying to achieve by asking such questions? If you worry what women think about your height than dear James thatâs your problem. How can I help you? Any idea?
I'm proud about my height. What I'm not proud of, are women's lies about caring about height lol.
Also, research has shown women are more miserable than men. And for a reason.
They absolutely do care about height. Women always had. They always breed with the tallest ones, there's a reason why humans are taller than 200 years ago. Your research on miserable women is completely irrelevant here. I don't even see why you bring that up. The relevant data would be how 95% of women would not even consider dating a man under 5,9 feet. Search: Height & Dating on Youtube. Focus on financial success and personality, not acting bitter about your height.
so tell me how you can feel a man's insecurity when you lot put "6 ft men only"

Why would it ever be blamed on women? I am 5'7 and never blamed a woman for my height or anything in my life. I have done just fine with women my entire life. Is it more difficult today YES but it can be done.
Insecurities in general are your own responsibility, but I get why shorter men are upset about it.
You can always buy a pair of boots to make you look taller though. Timberlands add a couple inches, and most girls think they look hot on guys, so that's an added bonus
This. You can't change the world (in this case women) but you can definitely change your mindset.
Yessir!
Yeah, I agree with both of you.
Look, I am a short guy; now I am 5' 5.5" after having been 5' 7" most of my adult life.
I never let my height bother me because I still got girlfriends as did my father.
It was only later that I began to realize that my height could have been an impediment to romance, but, if she won't have me, then, really, I wouldn't want her. When you're mature enough, you realize that you want and need someone who wants you.
That is very true my friend
They can even flee the US. It's mainly NA that has that weird rule about 6 feet men. In South America, Asia, heck even Europe, is not that big of a deal.
I'm 6' and I still get rejected all the time, if that makes anyone feel better lol
Men bring their insecurities on themselves. It is only a small percentage of short men that think their height is a problem. Most just get on with life like anyone else.
Apparently you're either a misandrist or delusional. Or both.
A this guy is a great example of being defensive, victimizing himself and confrontational when it comes a conversation
Women are insecure of going shirtless in public because their breasts are viewed as sexual objects and then they complain about men and double standards.
And yet, I can go on and laugh đđ at such a woman because she expects me to pity her.
My point is to make an analogy to understand who the real problem is. The problem is with the opposite gender.
So you might be delusional. Not a misandrist.
Crazy making. Going beyond the original point and creating your own problem to make yourself a victim who knows everything.
@serious_miss Well it's crucial to go beyond the "original point" wtf? Women have a lot of problems in society and they appear to be taking it out on men instead of being honest.
We can't help them if they expect us to read their mind.
@Red-Blaze I don't get wtf you mean by that analogy but I doubt it's even relevant. Yet alone important.
If it's YOUR insecurity, it's YOUR responsibility to deal with. So, in this case, it's HIS responsibility. It's not necessarily BLAME - that's the wrong word - it's his responsibility to manage it and get help for it if necessary.
Yes, a lot of women are (in my opinion) pretty unreasonable about men's height - with most women seeming to only consider men who are in the top 10% of height - but there are plenty of women who are fine with shorter guys, and if that's what you are working with, you just have to accept that some women just aren't available to you, and you have to choose one from the pool who you can get.
Likewise, when women have insecurities, they are HER responsibility to deal with - and blaming men is not "dealing with them." I don't give men that excuse, and I don't give women that excuse. You have to own your own issues.
It is a bit complex actually.
It is like a never ending cycle that starts when guys start paying attention to what women prefer.
After that, guys begin to focus on those characteristics among guys. Which creates competition sort of environment.
When competition comes, it can be taken in a good way or in a bad way. This is what makes the difference.
Hence, society in general. Really generally speaking.
Those who don't listen to unnecessary and unrealistic demands from women are the happiest ones.😁
Society really.
But men is more the culprit. They make other men more insecure by playing the comparison game. Since when did you hear a woman (who are usually the shorter gender) complain or compare heights anyway!
"men is more the culprit".
Well the reason behind that is probably because of women.
If there's anything that we could care less is how shorter a guy is to us lol. That height requirement is driven by women. Where men compete is mostly status and money. We know that height is meaningless, unless you're extremely short or a midget.
@JamesHarrys I wouldn't want a guy that was 5''7 or above to be honest, as I am only 5''2. How does that work in the bedroom? ! Lol. I wouldn't want to have to stretch my neck whenever we kissed or hugged! Wouldn't feel comfortable to me. We do care about height, but not in the way you're thinking, and it's only MY personal viewpoint on it, not women's in general. I don't know/could care less about other women's preferences but I wouldn't think they were also THAT shallow! If they were, what else could they be shallow/superficial about? ! ! I wouldn't want to date someone that only care about height and nothing else, that would be ridiculous! Anyway.
Men. And those men will blame us. But I've seen very attractive men who are shorter or who the majority will consider to be short. They're confident because they put themselves past that little height thing. That's all it is for them, I think, some height. That's not stopping them from succeeding and finding love.
People who blame their height, limit themselves.
Delusionality at it's finest
If it's just delusion, then what happened to those short but successful men?
Insecure Men cause women keep saying over and over and over again that not every men needs to be 6' tall, sure some want that but most women just want a man taller than themselves... so it's just you insecure dudes digging yourself deeper and deeper.
Same with the all women want a rich men shit, the all women care about your length🍆 bullshit etc.. it's all in your own ass head. You're welcome.
Some research in online dating sites say otherwise.
@KlinkyCoder thatâs women who donât get choice of guys in real life though soâŚ
I guess men? Especially on here. So many like to go on & on about how women are shallow and how if a man is short then women wonât date him, and play the whole âwoe is meâ card, but then when someone like me comments and says âI donât care about a guys heightâ, I get labelled a liar or some degrading title lol. Itâs as if theyâre wanting something to complain about, and then when a woman informs them that not every woman thinks that way, they lash out at her or tell her sheâs wrong.
It's his insecurity so it's on him. It may be based on societal preferences, but that doesn't make it societies fault
You might as well say a woman's breast size insecurity is on her.
While men may make other men feel insignificant because of their height, and may be the most heard source of said ridicule, the REASON for such ridicule in the first place is because of women. But that's not to say that it's a heartless act. It's true that being taller can be seen as a genetic advantage, and thus an attractive trait for someone to reproduce with. But as with most things, there's two sides to this coin. Sure, having a tall partner is great if you want your kid to be intimidating, or if you personally like tall partners, but being tall sucks when flying coach, or having to sleep in a twin size bed.
I think people should try to push aside any desires and standards that don't make sense in the modern age. It's not the stone age anymore, we don't need to breed mammoth hunters anymore.
I think it's both. There's a stigma that tall guys are physically superior (including being stronger) and better fighters. Guys tend to pick on short guys too about their height (judging by when I was in highschool at least). I've also seen a lot of women say they wouldn't date a man shorter than themselves or they want a man that's at least a certain height.
I blame the person, whether boy or girl, who artfully uses excuses as pretext for every insecurity, incompetency, mistake, and/or any little bad thing that happens to them. Cry me a river as my Height as Defense Mechanism is the work of a feeble Mind and Will. This is an individual that lets Society and Circumstance rule over them and likely this way about them transcends into all areas of their life. They choose to loose, freely.
I'd say women are a good chunk of the insecurity. When I say women, I mean the women who care about height. Watching them talk about height makes me cringe into the 5th dimension...
They're probably insecure themselves. I think most women pretend to care about height when they actually don't
Oh yeah big time. If you ask a woman obsessed with height about their weight, watch them rant about being judgmental! And I say that as a bigger lady who doesn't care about height lmaooo
Society needs more women like you. Hopefully you're in the majority sister đ.
Not one or the other, but society as a whole
I think most women are pretenders.
Weird reply but ok đ
three random polls on a social media site no one knows about do not represent the majority @asker
@Still-alive I don't know whether you're being positive or realistic.
I'll give you a bone. most women do tend to prefer tall-er men. as in taller than themselves. but 'tall' men as in maybe 6 feet or higher? i think thats not as prevelant.
So if a girl is 5 feet and prefers a taller guy than her and he's 5'4 he's safe.
so yeah stop blaming others for you insecurities.
@Still-alive I think many women secretly hate men because on one end, they pretend to care about height. Then on the other end they want to make the men feel they are the problem for their insecurities.
They want to confuse the s**t out of men because they don't like men.
And they don't like men because they don't like themselves.
Self projection at it's finest.
Any way that's my thoughts and I hope I'm wrong in my thinking lmfao
oh i see what you're doing. you just want a pity party? welp i got more important things to do.
you just stay stuck in your personal misery over there.
Ok nice argument. How about you answer "why it seems more women than men care about height"? Or both care equally?
no because i reject the premise of that question :)
@Still-alive You don't seem to get the point. Certain women want to make men feel miserable because they're not happy themselves. Probably because of centuries of female objectification. But I am hoping such women are rare.
Ok well I can only hope you are correct â
"Certain women want to make men feel miserable because they're not happy themselves. "
some are yes. there are awful women as there are awful men. but again they don't represent the majority
Men. The insecurity in them makes them forget that there are women who don't care about height. They tend to fixate on the fact that a few women preferred someone of a different height that they refuse to believe that someone else won't mind their height.
That weighs your confidence down and that is a much bigger turn off than any physical aspect.
Seems like a lot of men has the insecurities of their height. A woman may not want you because she prefers someone taller but so what. You can brush it off & move on, if you get in your feelings about it thatâs on you. Plus the guys that are blaming the women is the reason your single now
Thats all him. He can't handle rejection from âhis typeâ because there are many women who donât care if heâs short/shorter/not a certain height AND there are many men who are confident regardless of being a certain height
Typical misandrist đ¤Ą
How tf am i against men when i just said there are short men who are confident in what they have? Just because one short guy is insecure AS FUCK doesn't mean all of them are
What does that even mean?
First of all, im 6â2. I ainât insecure about my height but is that really a thing? people shorter than 6â are insecure? Really? I know a dude whoâs maybe 5â6, but heâs muscular and could beat someoneâs ass with no problem. If youâre under 6â itâs not the end of the world. Donât be so caught up in your own mind
Women are the reason why we have issues with our height. We are told that women don't care about height and then turned down by those very same women because of height. I was told by a mother of a teammate that women don't care about height. The next statement was her telling me how hard it was for her to find a guy taller than her. If women didn't care about height, why would she care if her guy was taller than her? FYI, her husband is taller than her.
You can't blame just one gender, both are to blame.
women: some are brutal and will tell to your face that you are too short.
men: some short ones dont understand that some women just prefer taller guys, its basic biology. But they also think all women want 6 feet + guys.
I donât care about height. Iâve dated guys who were my height or maybe a couple inches shorter. I am 5â9â so I kinda feel weird if I also date someone whoâs much taller than me. Itâs like âhey look at those 2 super tall people!â
Insecurity is as common as hummus. Short guys are not the only guys that feel insecure. Mostly everyone has felt insecure and continues to feel insecure about something in their lives.
Insecurity of any type is always on the person who is insecure. Not everything in the world is going to be how we want. So it's all about how we deal with it.
And of course the problem says itâs men. Not surprised. Never in my 27 years of living have I ever heard a guy say âI want a girl that is 6 feet and aboveâ as long as men walk on this planet women will forever be the problem
Iâm barely 5â9 and Iâm taller than most women that I know. Iâve seen more guys in relationships that most girls would reject because of their height than guys 6 feet and above. My brother who is shorter than I am had more girlfriends than a dude thatâs 6â9 and heâs in the NBA now. We went to the same high school. Same for my other brother who is taller than me
Women might be the pinnacle of evil. The same women who voted for taller men in numerous other poles might be the same ones who voted MEN here lol.
I'd say women 99.999%
Would you prefer your partner to be the same height? â
Why is height more important to women than to men? Or do I have the wrong impression? â
Do you (man or woman) care about your significant other's height? â
Links not working but check elsewhere on the thread.
I would blame insecurities on the person that has them independent of the gender. They are the only one that can change that.
Men and masculine standards and how no one can ever truly meet them in a way that's valid is the reason why so many men are insecure.
I am 5'7 which is shorter than average, but it doesn't bother me per se, but statistically most women don't like that for it being "too short". Women are just as guilty of this thing as men, if not more.
I was never insecure about my height until i was constantly asked how tall i am on dating apps.
both in western culture.., hurt people hurt other people
Men do not criticize other men for their height or mock them or refuse to socialize with them or have sex with them.
Women do all of this and more.
Himself. I know guys who are 5'11 who lament not being 6'+ and guys 5'6 and under who own it and date lots of women.
Man and women. Men judge each other all the time with toxic masculinity. Women usually want a guy thats taller than her also. So both parties fault
Both. Itâs like violence and sex in the media. Iâd say itâs 50/50: gals have demand, guys who canât fit that demand no matter what get angry.
Can I blame it on both genders?
No that's illogical because one is the cause for the other.
But you could be right I don't know.
You might be trying to say that all this "height and status and dominance and leadership being associated with masculinity" thing began with men (patriarchy), and women follow. Whether they pretend to like height or not.
Lol đ
Lol no that didnât even cross my mind. Is that what you think?
Why would you blame it on both genders when it's so obvious who the height shaming misandrists are? Wtf?
What weed you smoking đŹ? I want to get away from reality too sometimes lol.
You could blame it on both yes. But it's definitely not 50-50. More like 99-1.
Iâve seen guy height shame too and I donât smoke weed but Iâm sure you can find some in Las Vegas or Colorado and have a nice get away if you need a break.
Probably on women but some guys bully shorter guys which they canât control so itâs not fair either way
Women, because they think it is ok to reject men for not being tall enough.
Neither. I'd blame it on ridiculous societal standards in general.
Obviously, women.
Insecurity is self-inflicted.
What's disturbing about this question so far looking at the poll results is that 69% of the males are boys and not men.
A man takes personal responsibility for his behavior and actions.
A man understands that life isn't fair.
A man understands that you can't get everything you want and sometimes have to compromise or better himself.
A boy whines that all his problems are somebody else's fault.
So, out of the 29 males who voted, 20 of them have yet to sprout pubes.
Itâs both. Itâs society.
itâs definitely women
both
