Do you think MGTOW men are actually happy with that choice?

MGTOW men always seem to talk about how happy they are being free from the cancer that is women (in their minds) but yet, they spend an awful lot of time focusing on women, and hurling insults, and obsessively trying to drill into others how great their lives are now that they are free, but I feel like if they were truly happy, as they are so fond of saying, they would just go out into the world and be happy and talk about and do the things that make them happy instead of focusing on something they claim they don't give two craps about anymore in women.

I also had quite the conversation with one self proclaimed member who had a daughter, and I pointed out to him that if all women in the world are evil, his daughter will grow up and become a woman. I asked if he planned to call her evil and treat her like crap because kids are also a reflection of their upbringing, and since she lived with him, what does that say....(confusion).

Most such guys that I know (and that's not me, by the way, but I understand their decision even though I don't agree) are exactly the guys who just live their lives. One of my buds invited me and my girl to go on the river for the Fourth - he's got a boat and some wave runners - he isn't on social media at all - he is either traveling somewhere or is on the water almost every weekend. He was just in London, and he'll be in Athens in July.

That's typical of most MGTOW guys - many of them don't even know what the term means, they just live that lifestyle.

The problem is that you are projecting the 100 or so guys on YouTube and Twitter, who by the nature of being content creators talk about it a lot, and maybe a couple hundred followers, as being representative of all MGTOW guys, but that's not how it is at all. Most such guys are just living their lives, saving money and often investing, and doing whatever adventures they want to do.

Do I think they would be happier with a good traditional woman? Most of them, yes. But those women barely exist anymore in Western culture, and they have all dealt with enough "modern women" to know that they are much happier alone than with one of those.

I don't disagree with that, but I have been able to find more traditional women by looking in less common places - though it isn't easy. I was single for almost 3 years before I found my current girlfriend. There were 9 or 10 along the way that didn't pass the vetting process. A lot of guys don't want to deal with all of that, so they just check out of the dating world.

It probably depends on what led them to that choice. I didn't know of it as an ideology after my divorce, but it's certainly what I did. Work out, focus on making money, only NSA and ONS, no relationships. It isn't that women are evil, but that a relationship isn't worth the risk it brings.

Anyway, for that period of time it was extremely satisfying. I got into fantastic shape, did what I wanted when I wanted, cut back on smoking, drinking, and quit doing drugs. After a few years it got lonely though, when I tried dating to get into a relationship I found that fairly quickly, mostly because of the skills I had banked up in picking women up, being in great shape, having discipline, and money.

We've been married about a decade and a half now, so yeah, I'd say most guys start out there pretty bitter, but they stick with it because it's a choice they're happy to make. If you get into better shape and have more success, it isn't like you have a harder time finding women if that's what you want to do...

Most of these Mgtow guys are middle aged guys who have been hurt by an ex maybe suffered domestic abuse or cheated on and ended up paying alimony and child support so their ex can move some other guy into their home and they are denied access to their child. Or they are young guys who can't find a girlfriend. Either way it's a way for them to cope at least until the heal and maybe find someone.

I don't date or chase women, but I don't exactly put a label on what I am. MGTOW... or anything else, though I know who they are. My not dating has to do with me keeping my eyes and ears open, I watch. I observe. I hear. I don't talk with people much... but I KNOW how many piranhas are out there-and they FAR OUTNUMBER any halfway decent people. I've spent time in 46 states in a wide variety of circumstances. In some places, people are better at hiding it than in others. Social media is dangerous... because people freely admit TRUTHS that they wouldn't face to face... so if you factor in those people as well... well, let's just say I've had FAR better odds of turning $100 into 1K on FanDuel in 24 hours-than anyone I've seen have even a half-ass upstanding relationship. I've done that thrice in the last 5 mos. I haven't met 3 happy people in honest relationships in that same time frame.😏I happen to know, of all I've met...1 is cheating-or both, 1 is selling their ass online to anyone who blinks, 1 is getting taken for their money for drugs, 1 is seeking out low self esteem people to run over, 1 is being used for a place to stay... or all of the above. I get to travel, go to beaches, mountains, amusement parks, ball games, ride my moped, be self employed and rescue animals. I don't worry about cops, my money, where I can go, who's talking about me, sexual harassment, who's on what social media site, cheating, etc. So do I have less worries? Absolutely for a fact I do. Will those relationship people end up as happy in the next several years? Time will tell. The odds aren't in their favor though, and that's a proven statistical fact. I don't meet happy divorced people on child support and/or with legal problems.😏

Those few very vocal men who are attacking women as a whole on forums are those who have been dragged through a divorce they did not want, had a life that they spent years some time decades building torn apart by the one person they trusted the most only to find in the process of the divorce that they had been systematically cheated on, and sometimes finding that their circle of ‘friends’ had know about the affair and in some cases aided and abetted the cover up of the affair, so maybe cut these guys a little slack if they are negative towards women as a result of the divorce and the ‘family courts system.

Men see their only recourse to preserve what resources they have and their mental well being is to withdraw as much as possible, and only interact with women on the most superficial of levels, MGTOW is unlike feminism in one main respect - It has no Leadership that can be attacked - each man 'goes his own way' however he wishes to do that, be that in the middle of a city or going 'off grid' it is his choice.

MGTOW is, in the end, VERY good for men. However, MGTOW is – a process.

The men who start out in MGTOW are often very bitter, very hurt, and very angry at the pack of lies they were told all through their formative years. And they vent. A lot. And a lot of female readers or viewers or onlookers can find this a bit unsettling, and understandably so.

But the next step of MGTOW is for men to develop one's own talents, one's own skills, one's own hobbies. And not doing any of this because the ladies might like it, but for its (and their) own sake., because it makes them better men. And once the men have achieved this, they are much better off, even in terms of attracting and relating women. Perhaps especially in terms of that!

But the key point is that men have to do this for themselves, and motivate themselves to do this for themselves, not for any woman (although in the end, that may happen too). And focusing upon and developing themselves IS a good thing.

To be honest I would say no or at least not all the time. Living a lifestyle one could call mgtow though I normally don´t call it myself that way I would say life is pretty good most of the time but there are moments when I see couples being happy I feel good for them and bad about myself since I never figured out a way to get into a relationship. It´s not that I hate on women I´d rather hate myself for not being able to attract a woman´s interest.

There are moments where it´s hard being a single guy like when I see friends of mine being happy in a relationship or marrying than I question my life and my choices. But nevertheless I can live a normal life and I have such moment occasionly not all the time.

Well, these days you don't absolutely need to date or have a partner if you don't want to or don't want to take the risks- there is really no social stigma. That can free you up to focus on other things. So if that is the calculus, I would imagine they are perfectly happy.

I have long thought that it would be sad to spend your last years alone with no grandchildren to spend time with, but since it looks like most people soon will be working until they die once again (as was the case through almost all of human history), MGTOW might be better than it looks.

They're are not completely. They might be happy about not paying for a woman, they might be happy about having more time to themselves, but they still want a movie-woman. And it makes them upset that real women are not like in the movies, upset the same way people are upset about global warming and exotic animal hunting. I think most MGTOW men would prefer to have a traditional housewife in a society where monogamy is socially enforced like things used to be. The problem is that is almost unavailable so they would just rather be alone than put up with modern women who have high body counts, are entitled, don't cook or clean, and are likely to divorce him and take away any children and half his stuff or make false accusations that could easily ruin his entire life. Most women available today are trash with a majority being obese and many having high body counts or kids out of wedlock. Relationships with modern women tend to be a bad deal for men, and opting out is a rational response.

As happy as women are being completely "independent". And I'm not saying women aren't happy being "independent". I'm simply saying there's a price to be paid for every choice you make in life. It's not that men choose MGTOW so much as it's the best viable option for many of them who choose it. To put in simple terms with a lot of women today the juice just isn't worth the squeeze. So they've simply opted out. Just like the independent woman finds her lifestyle isn't always conducive to her wants and needs. But nevertheless it's the choice she's made. I’ve not met many in real life. One that I actually met in person got taken to the cleaners and a heavy alimony judgment when his abusive ex divorced him. The way he put it to me was “I dated for awhile but decided I couldn’t risk losing what I have left.” When I got a divorce I was also taken to the cleaners. I decided we only live once, so I would accept the risk in order to find love.

I try to understand their viewpoint. I guess it works for them. I personally know a lot of men who have been wronged by women, mainly by divorce and manipulating with children. Maybe it's good for them, to just take time off from any dating or commitment, women do it too.
