No, if you use these terms then this man would be further behind in the Greek alphabet.

The "beta" is the one who uses his resources and financial stability to attract a woman for the long term. He would typically marry and have kids, though he may have experienced difficulties with girls in highschool and college (i. e. before the beta strategy can really work).

The mistake in the model is that women may most of all look for emotional stability and - shall we say it - for love. A guy who looks like following a beta strategy may offer these things which cost him nothing.

What do you think "beta male" means? Sociologists don't use that term and its not even considered correct for wolves anymore.
