Do guys like a woman to hug them when they’re upset?

Say for example if a guy was having a tough day or seemed down would he want a woman to hug him or not? Im not talking someone mega close to him like his mom or partner

For me, it's always nice getting a hug even if it's platonic. Some guys might not be as touchy-feely though so they might be indifferent or might not like it.
