Well if he is pretending to be single and he is actually not then there is a reason for it. No one pretends to be single when married if they don't have the intention of cheating on some level. That could be emotional or physical. Either way why would someone lie about being married or in a relationship unless that deceit had an intention? I would think that 99% of the time they are looking to cheat with maybe a very rare exception not that I can think of one.
