How do I say no for lunch or coffee to this guy at work?

I work with this guy who is 23.

He was ok at first but the last few months, he's been a bit weird.

Our backs are towards eachother and sometimes he would just turn around and stare at me for ages which made me uncomfortable. He also stares longer than usual when he talks to me also.

It's only been these last few months he's been doing this.

It creeps me out. He asked me for lunch before I went away overseas. I had to make up a lie to get out of it.

He is leaving for good in 2 weeks & he wants to have lunch before he goes.

We have lunch break at the same time but not with eachother.

How do I get out of it? He knows I'm not having lunch with other work mates every day so I'm not sure what to say.

His dad also works in the office so I don't want the dad to think I'm ignoring him.

Not sure how to say no to him.

I also want to delete him from my IG but not sure he would tell I did. His dad is also leaving in March for retirement.

Just don’t agree to anything and tell him you enjoy your lunch time alone. It’s your time to read, decompress, or whatever. If he’s pushy beyond that just be straight up and direct “I don’t want to have lunch with you.” No reason beyond that is needed. Truthfully, any self actualized man would know that after a couple asks, if she hasn’t taken you up on the offer (drinks, coffee, lunch, dinner, etc.) then it means she’s not interested. Just be polite and move on with your life. Clearly, he’s not operating at that level.

Do you have a good male friend who could pose as your boyfriend? He comes to the office one day and takes you out to lunch. Without being too obvious, you make a big enough show of it that others in the office see the guy with you. Then you tell the co-worker that you have a boyfriend and it would be wrong for you to have lunch with him.

Uh you tell him no. Are you really asking how to tell someone you don't want to have lunch? Just tell him no. You don't need to be rude or anything but a simple no thanks is going to suffice. This is really not that hard. You don't want to get involved with coworkers anyhow. That's not a good idea. You can even use that as an excuse that you have a personal rule that you don't get involved socially with people you work with.

Why not just go with him you will never see him again after words.. I don't get why you are acting so intimidated... if it is that horrible for you just say I don't want to go for lunch for you..

It’s only LUNCH not a marriage proposal & all you have to do is tell him you’ll go out to lunch with him as coworker to coworker & nothing more at this time.
