Guy at the gym kept looking at me over and over, but never approached?

Guy at the gym keeps looking at me over and over, looking up to see if I’m looking, even moved to the area I was at. I looked at his body and shoes a few times but we never really made eye contact but I saw his eyes on me. I know he saw me looking at him but he never approached, he just looked at me even more, kind of inched closer but eventually left.

What are some reasons he didn’t he approach? I would have talked to him lol and he’s the one who initiated the interest so I think he should’ve been the one to approach first. I am kind of a shy girl.

Well for one he may have not been interested in you the way you’re thinking. I don’t get why women think because a man looks at them a few times he’s interested. I’ve noticed some women who I look at a few times because I’m thinking wow she’s very athletic, or watching her do her exercises to learn something new. Maybe she has a nice outfit on or something. Doesn’t always mean he’s interested in you. There’s this girl who goes to the gym I go to. I look at her, wondering why do you even come to the gym. She walks on the stair stepper for 20 minutes at the slowest rate while watching her phone, then she’s done. Not interested in her. Maybe you should talk to him first. It’s not easy going up to women in public trying to start up a conversation w out seeming creepy. Because according to a lot of women everything men do is creepy. Not only that, a lot of women don’t want to be hit on in a gym. They want to be left alone to work out. Maybe he gets accused of looking at her sexually, or a million other things. If it seems that easy for men to do then go up to him and talk to him

A lot of men don't like to approach women in the gym. He probably wanted to say something but he might be shy as well. Next time be sure to make eye contact with him and smile. Maybe even start a conversation with him. Someone needs to make the move or else it will be a missed opportunity.

Because you looked unapproachable. You said it yourself that you are shy. If he picked up that vibe and lack of eye contact then he probably said screw it. See that is gonna be your problem. If you thought he was cute or whatever giving him eye contact likely would've been a green light and he would approached you. The reason I say this is a problem is because you say you're shy so you may have missed a perfect opportunity to force him to make a move. He may never again.

Yeah but if you look shy and standoffish he might have picked that up and went nah this isn't going to succeed. You can't see yourself or how you look. You got no clue if maybe you look a lot more shy than you think you do.
