Why would a guy who ghosted me stare at me when he sees me at the gym?

This guy and I were friends and he just stopped returning my texts and blew me off. I see him at the same gym and give him space but then catch him staring at me. Once we made eye contact and he looked away. What’s his deal?

I believe he either has a girlfriend now or he's gay and was just being nice to you but you didn't know.🤷 If you tried to go out with him, he might have at first thought that it was just as friends😊 until he knew your intentions😬. Hey thanks for your response. We never went out—for me it was always platonic. I definitely didn’t see him as someone I wanted to date. Maybe he had feelings for me? Still don’t understand why he would stare at me now though.

Has he ever tried coming on to you? If he's not gay then maybe he does have feelings for you. If you're not single then you might have gave him the wrong idea at first. The best way I would say to approach is topic is just to ask politely for him to explain things. If he had feelings for you and you're single then I don't know why he would ghost you in the first place
