Why did my boyfriend bring all the gifts I ever gave him when we broke up?

In a bag, he put every gift I ever gave him, including a mug. He returned gifts that my mother and grandma ever gave him too. Why would he do this? Don’t understand why he didn’t put them in the bin, this feels an odd thing to do

Maybe because he wants every memory of you gone. It may be his way of processing this breakup. Most men will keep things their ex got them especially if it’s something useful. Not so much for the memories. But in some cases like his, maybe it’s just to painful to have those things around.
