I have an ex who contact me while he was recovering from a stroke. I felt sorry for him but I hate that he used his condition as an excuse to get closer to me. We didn't get back together but we used to speak on the phone for a short amount of time after that because he said that talking to me helped in his recovery. I was already over him when this happened but seeing him that fragile honestly was a deal breaker to me. We're no longer in touch and I wouldn't care if he passed away or something happened to him he's part of my past.
