So right now about half of the men are ready to leave this world. This is about what I thought.

It depends on what I am leaving it for:

• If it's my consciousness or subjective experience ceasing to exist altogether then fuck no I would rather avoid that as long as possible
• If I am stuck as some ghost haunting the location where I die forever that would also suck
• Reincarnation is meaningless bullshit, if I don't remember my past life then it's no different to me than not existing at all
• Going to an afterlife and meeting everyone else who ever died could be cool depending on how it's set up
• By far the best option would be "New Game +" in which I would be dropped back into my infant body with my memories, skills, and knowledge fully intact to repeat my life but do it better than the first time around

I've been blown up, three vertebrae f'ed from it and a spinal fusion in my future, had a bullet cut out a week after it got put there, still have minor shrapnel in my body, got stabbed in the chest once, had a heart attack (unrelated) and two major assassination attempts that I know of. That's none of the really "inconvenient" stuff. I also have rescue kittens to look after, so I greatly welcome helping the OTHER guy welcome the day he's going to leave this world. Me? I'ma stick around a bit longer.

@KrakenAttackin hope you aren't one of those counting the days down. Life is rough and tough but we have to Grasp life by the reigns.

I know there are plenty of men in my life I would certainly miss... My bros and my father to start with... I'd hate the idea of not having them around. I'd even missed my ex solely because he's my children's father and he is very important to them. Plus they're be crushed by his passing and their sorrow hurts me.

And I'd miss many online pals such as @OlderAndWiser @Still-alive, you yourself @Bluemax and probably more than gag would let me tag.

I'm curious though. Why do you ask?

Most men by the time they are 40 or 50 have been through a pretty rough road. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say most men are just going through the motions of living, trying to get their kids where they need to go, out food on the table, and trying not to remember who they wanted to be.

As Thoreau said, "most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with a song still in them". I believe Thoreau was not only right l, but his sentiment is only more relevant today then in his time.

Try almost dying while giving birth of child with a man you love and then be cheated by him because your belly is not as sexy as it was before childbirth or that you’re not as tight as you were in the past. I read a lot of such complaints by men online, makes you want to never have children.

Try having to protect yourself from men everyday, who look at you like a piece of meat instead of a person who wants love and care.

Try being offered sex all the time, when all you want is love.

Try sacrificing the biggest part of your life for another human being.

Try having menstruation and going through the pain and discomfort every month.

Try feeling discarded once you reach a certain age and men your age going for women who’d easily be their children.

Living in constant fear of your own birthdays.

This is the life of women you have no idea about.

Now you’ll say women don’t go to wars. So that’s unfair and they must be happier. Women don’t start wars either!

Wars are the byproduct of male-controlled society.

Women know better than solving problems by killing others.

I welcome more the opportunity to serve God in the present and do His will… that i can bring souls to Him. I pray for that strength.
We only get this one chance in tgis form and the chances and probablies to get here are so small… so make the most of every moment.

I'm kind of zen about it. I look at each day God gives as another day God gives me to do good and to be better. I see all the good people I know that have passed on (some much too young) and it bolsters my belief that they earned paradise much quicker. I have to believe this. It's the only way it makes sense of God being JUST. I'd be lying if I didn't say there wasn't a part of me that didn't look forward to shuffling loose of this mortal coil. But it's a small part. Mainly I fear going before God before accomplishing all the tasks he has created for me. I feel I still have simply too much to do in life and not enough years to accomplish it all. I just want to make the world a better place before I leave it.

No. I don't dread leaving when my time comes, but I am super grateful for my time here; for my five senses, my mind, emotions and imagination.

Life is full of trials and tribulations, but it is also full of joy, happiness, awe, wonder and ecstasy. Even the smallest things can fill me with appreciation.

I admit that I've been pretty luck, though, compared to a lot of people.

I don't believe in mythology, so I'm not concerned about stories of the afterlife.

No, it scares the shit out of me. Not looking forward to that at all. I've known too many people who died. I just found out about another one. The process isn't much fun. The being dead part wouldn't be much fun either.

I kinda like being alive. I like doing stuff, and talking to people, and trees and flowers, and listening to music, and eating, and lots of other things. Kinda hard to do that when you're dead.

I like sleeping too, but I want to wake up so I can do stuff.
