I was trying to buy lighters from the store today and cashier thought I was younger than 18. Should I be offended or flattered? 😆

I would say flattered. Thier is a saying in Italy. 20 dalla parte posteriore, 40 dalla parte anteriore. Translates to; 20 from the rear, 40 from the front.

I mean this man is saying, 17 from the front and rear. Now if you were trying to date me, that would be a weird thing to say, and yes you should be offended.

But these days, the way girls dress... I mean they can 16 and look 22. So, you tell me what is worse?

I always get carded as well. When I was 14 no one ever carded me, they sold me alcohol, cigarettes, lighters, etc. Once I was 21 they carded me non stop and still haven't sopped. I will probably have to be like 60+ before they stop carding me.

If they are unsure they card people.
They are protecting their job, the stores license, and a personal fine.
PD has been known to send in undercover under age people to try and make purchases.
