Pursue the girl like a guy mad in love
A hopeless romantic you are, so beautiful and charming too, your eye become ever more beautiful as they glisten from interacting with the sun's rays, your face radiates such softness like satin silky soft warm to the touch so tenderly gently applied , you are the template for one who is truly a beauty to behold and admire, most guys haven't read much if any Shakespeare, that in the eyes and thinking of modern dudes is overkill when just saying hey babe you looking really good hot, wanna go out this weekend will get their intention and point across just fine, crude yes but it works for those females who haven't experienced the art of romance being so desired and made to feel like a gem so rare and treasured, and attentive to put on a pedestal for all to be in awe of one so lovely and graceful ás you are, it's an honor to be in her presence, as all eyes are truly on her with admiration well chivalry is alive to this day it's just not a presence that it once commanded but is a driving force to those who long for the days when a lady was held in high esteem and courted respectfully and pursued playfully and the occasional dueling by suiters trying to win your affection, the good old days of the Renaissance,

MY TRUE STORY: My last boyfriend lived in the same apartment building as I do. I live upstairs and have a nice long balcony outside. One day after we met he left me a note on my door and called me Rapunzel. Then he'd stood outside of my balcony from downstairs yelling "Rapunzel, Rapunzel"!!! I would run to my balcony and would throw my long hair over the edge just like in the story.
Here's the story version
After she threw her long hair over the edge of the tower she lived in, he put up a ladder and climbed to grab her hair and rescue her from the mean witch in the tower that held her hostage in the there.
So, they ran off together after he rescued her and fell in love and lived happily ever after. The end.
After the Rapunzel thing he did, the next time he appeared outside howling like a big husky dog when he wanted a mate. I would run to the sliding door and stand on my balcony howling back.
So, whenever we needed to locate each other at the store, he would howl and then I would howl back so he could find me. People in the store thought we were crazy 🙄.
We had many wonderful and funny memories of things we did together.
I am still mourning his death and tears are in my eyes as I remember those times while writing this.
Please reply and give me your opinion.

1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Because first of all if a guy confronts a girl with the reality that he's in love with her that deep that he's obsessed with her many women nowadays would see that as stalking. Second of all it seems unnecessary in modern days since one could get sex and intimacy without that much preparation.
Thirdly guys are not anymore in the situation that they fall head over heels for a woman at the first meeting. Modern day guys have something Romeo didn't have and that is the Internet. Guys are bombarded with pics of beautiful women through the day so it's hard to keep the picture of one beautiful woman you see somewhere in your head, there is no way a guy can dream and fantasie as deep as Romeo probably did over Juliet.
A fourth problem guys underestimate the power of romance as there are no more boundaries and limits in Western society and many guys are taught intimacy by porn guys are now going mainly for sex straight away since they think that's the goal because many dating coaches talk about that all the time.

I never pursued because I was scared of girls...
no wonder, they cause a bunch of guys to jump of bridges...
dang things are dangerous and don't know it.
10 Reply 1.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. it just doesn't work. If a man puts 100% energy into being "in love" it is expressed as him being led by her and worshiping her. Women do not want or respect that in real life although you seem to enjoy seeing it in fiction such as romance comedies. I have ideas on why women don't like it in reality:
a.) She knows herself really well and knows that she isn't worthy of worship so obviously any man who worships her is a total idiot and unworthy of being followed or respected.
b.) it's a sexual turn off to have a man who is desperate/needy for her which drives her towards other men.
c.) A guy who focuses all his energy on her has no energy left for doing stuff like building his career, building valuable skills. He is not competitive compared to guys who have other things going on. He's like the guy who sits in the stands at a sporting event worshiping cheerleaders... compared to the guy who plays in the game and only gives 1% of his attention to the cheerleaders.
Or to sum it all up: women want a lot of things. It's been said that women want EVERYTHING. Some of the things they want are actually bad for them and others so traditionally it was a man's job to know when to say 'nope'. Guys who know when to say nope are called names by feminists such as "toxic" but we don't care.

+1 yThey still do.

But if you're just noticing the guys not doing a thing... step back and take a look at the women (not just the looks) for a second. Would you go out of your way for them?
I'm just saying such actions are usually deserving and there isn't much out there in certain circles that are deserving of shit.

Juliet, if we can agree on this, wasn't a blown-out slut that's just going to treat him like shit and cheat while acting like a boss bitch. Can we agree on that much? She herself is something I could see a man fighting for.
Now think about the average slut out there.

Do you think I'd fight for one of them or use them as a human shield during a random outburst of gun violence?
I mean think about it and look at the choices those men that are not doing that shit have. She might be perfect emotionally and mentally (doubt it), but then she weighs 200+ Lbs. and hasn't had a bath or brushed her teeth in days. Meanwhile he's expected to be clean, make money, and have a six pack abs. The system is out of whack and you're not going to see that behavior until it gets straightened out. Until then... expect nothing but the worst of men confronting you and others for sex.

@Tapeworm It's one of my favorite pictures. You know the common picture of Coomer was made by drawing with Microsoft paint over his face... and they just left his teeth in there. That's one photogenic guy so much so that even a picture drawn over his face becomes a legend.

+1 yMany are hard wired to be like that.
There are few sweet, devoted, traditional girls left in the world though. Many are loud feminists who sleep around, believe in hook up culture, boss babes that don't need no man, career is her focus in life, going out to clubs, drinking, getting hit on all night by players, get naked online for pay, post endless bikini and thirst trap photos on Instagram, hot girl summers, girls night out drinking.
There really aren't any "ladies" that are worthy to be showered with traditional romance, devotion, courting. They all have 10 dicks in them already. There is nothing traditional and ladylike to court.
Traditional, modest, family oriented girls of virtue and honor... they deserve the courting and romance.
Some Instagram hoe who goes out clubbing and screwing players every week, selling her snatch on line (prostitution), she won't take her husband's last name, making money and business trips dictate the home life and her job is her main priority, she had sex with 10-20 men already who tried out all their deviant, porn influenced kinks on her and warped her tastes in intimacy. She doesn't deserve any romance and courting.

Not the point. - +1 y
No, i think it is the point? If you're looking at Juliet as the peak woman, while critiquing adult women in the current day, perhaps the issue here is actually on you. You shouldn't desire a sweet, devoted 13 year old. You should want an adult partner
- +1 y
@wiltingrosepetal
No, it isn't the point. The point was ROMANCE. She said "ACT LIKE ROMEO" "PURSUE THE GIRL LIKE A GUY MAD IN LOVE"
Age of the fictitious character wasn't the point. Why don't men romantically pursue girls. That is the question. R and J was just an example. Quit attempting to hijack the topic.
+1 yBecause Romeo and Juliet was a play that was written in the 16th century. Social norms back then were very different. Sadly, social media and hookup culture has killed romance. People feel like they have a ton of options. Secondly, if they act this way, they risk being perceived as creepy or desperate. Same goes for women; nowadays you have to play it cool and chill without showing excess interest. Hence why you have all these weird dating rules (how soon is too soon to text after a first date etc.)
10 Reply- 1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.
+1 yI saw a tik tok video that perfectly explains the reason. Women don't actually want us to do those things. Y'all say you do, but you don't act like it.
There are many women treat us like absolute shit when we do. We show up with flowers and a nice date planned, and y'all are talking shit with your girlfriends about how corny we are. We catch shit about how we don't take "no" for an answer. Showing too much interest makes you uncomfortable and turns you off. Even if it doesn't turn you off, then you start just expecting the lovey-dovey stuff as what men should do, so it loses it's charm.

+1 yMen who do that end up in jail now.
Guy's aren't allowed to convince women they love them with persitantence anymore, because its viewed as harrassment, even if the love is genuine.
Not that I'd do it anyway even if I were allowed to.
Back in the early 2000s, when you could still do that without being reprimanded, I never did. Instead the women chased after me that way. It still happens today as well, but because I look young, it happens much less often from women my age and much more often from women in their early 20s or younger, so since then, I just ended up having to ignore most of the women who insist on me having them, and now I'm struggling to find a woman I mentally relate to in terms of hobbies, intererest, talents, etc. so I still haven't even had a reason yet to be persistent about convincing a woman that I'm the one for her.10 Reply 1.8K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. - Well, i don't want to charge with Eve teasing and harassing her.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIt's a lot of rape fantasy in his screenplays. A lot of old movies and plays were rapey.
Look at snow white. That's why, in the new snow-white, the guy is a creepy stalker.
I think it's good now that men are learning that this creepy behavior is not okay. And women are also approaching guys more. That's another step closer to equality.
I am sure young guys are looking at videos of older generations of men who throw their coats over a puddle and say things like, "Why guys back then sure were weird; why would they be so nice to a woman?" It's creepy behavior and makes women feel uncomfortable.
It's good a lot of men are controlling their sexual urges better and treating women with equal respect. I say we continue down this room.

"It's a lot of rape fantasy in his screenplays. A lot of old movies and plays were rapey." - False. I watched a lot of old movies from the 1930s to 60s when I was a kid in the 70s & 80s. I can only think of three movies that had "rapey" stuff and all of those were naturally made after the mid 60s when the old movie code (rules for what could be shown in movies) were taken away. In none of the "rapey" cases was it shown as a good thing or a normal relationship.
"Look at snow white. That's why, in the new snow-white, the guy is a creepy stalker." -- No it's because Hollywood is actively trying to pervert people's perceptions so they are attaching negative behaviors to traditional role models. The original snow white prince wasn't a stalker at all. Not how stories worked back in the day
The character of Romeo from "Romeo and Juliet" is a literary creation, and his impulsive, dramatic actions may not reflect realistic behavior. Real-life relationships require communication, respect, and consideration, which can differ from the passionate and tragic nature of Shakespearean plays. People's actions are influenced by various factors, including cultural and societal norms.

+1 yBecause most thing you see in movies aren't real. Men are not brave etc. Most people aren't brave, they just get the glory but they do not actually have the guts and they often tend to be really really scared of rejection like their life depends on it. Life is generally disappointing like that.
