It happens to me with people I’ve never seen and it makes me feel like I am monitored. Last month for instance a cop approached me to (probably) flirt with me and asked me if I go to my college and that he has seen me there before.
Another time a new coworker that told me that we apparently go to the same supermarket but I’ve never seen him anywhere in my life even though I thought I was aware of my surroundings and I like to people watch.
It seems harmless but I live in a big city, don’t look very striking so I’m kind of weirded out that people notice and remember me but I don’t even know they exist. Is this bormal or do I look weird?

Yo that would definitely weird me out if random strangers were coming up to me saying they've seen me around before when I know for a fact I've never seen them. Especially like what the cop did, tryna use it as an excuse to start talking to you, that's kinda sketchy.
I wouldn't say it means anything is necessarily wrong with how you look or act, some people are just way more observant of their surroundings than others. But I could see how constantly having that happen would make you feel like you're being watched or something.
Maybe try not making direct eye contact as much with people when you're out, just so you don't stick out in their memory as easily? Or change up your routine occasionally if you tend to do the same things at the same times.
Don't stress too much about it, but also don't be afraid to be short with dudes if they start hitting on you after saying that. Some guys will try any excuse to start a convo. Trust your gut - if a situation feels off, don't be afraid to remove yourself politely. Stay safe out there!
Nope. I hear that all the time.
