I dont understand why this guy has a soft spot for me when he doesn’t want me romantically… he puts up with me and my harsh words towards him … he even said he doesn’t know how he puts up with me.

I feel like he doesn’t really reach out but he still responds if I need him. He does text sometimes.. but I don’t understand why he just doesn’t block me or something

If a guy has a "soft spot" for you it's usually because he likes you quiet a lot, and if he's letting you "bully him" I guess you could say and putting up with it it's probably because he does actually really like you and he finds that behaviour cute in a way, but if he's said straight out he doesn't want want a relationship it could be for several reasons, a girlfriend, insecurities, nerves etc. However if he hasn't actually said he doesn't want a relationship then maybe just think about that for awhile?

Ok so in that case it could be more that he sees you like a little sister especially if he's known you for a decent amount of time and he feels like he needs to look out for you basically, I have had a few people like that he's only been a year older then me and I annoy the shit out of him and piss him off a bunch but he deals with it because he sees me as a little sister even tho he's not that much older then me and he tends to try an look out for me and gets pretty protective so it could be something more like that

No I doubt it. He told me that he wasn’t ready for a relationship. The same month we stopped talking he entered into one and 4 months later they got engaged lol
