Very much, although I've never been the type to be certain about anything. 😅
I have had some eureka moments where I thought something might have had an ~85% chance or so of being right only to discover it was wrong. It was never that shocking to me though since I always estimated a ~15% chance even in such best cases of being wrong.
I mean when you are fixed on something. Let's say you are at university and you're stressed about exams, you think everything in the world is about exam grades, only to discover after a year that you are expected to perform in a job as well as someone with 5 years of experience. Then you realize what a fool you were, thinking that having a degree with the best marks can give you an advantage.
Or you realize how immature you were in a relationship two years ago and how it could've worked now.
For sure. I've always been an extreme skeptic and oriented around probabilities. Yet I'm not immune to emotional investment even behind an idea that I think has some probability that could be wrong. I can still hope very much that something is going to turn out a certain way even if I think there's some probability that it doesn't, and still be disappointed that way.
