My boyfriend ripped my wig off and I cried. Should I tell him it hurt my feelings?

My boyfriend bought me the wig which cost him over $400 because I kept getting my hair done and it wasn't turning out right. It was cute and all but he said he had never seen my hair messed up. Even when my hair wasn't turning out right he never seen my hair looking bad. Well today I hung at his house and I wore a hat because my hair was messed up. He said he wanted to see my hair messed up and I said no. We play fought then he ripped off the hair while kissing me and told me I looked pretty. He left 5 minutes ago to the store and I cried. Should I tell him it hurt my feelings

He didn't do it maliciously. You just have low self esteem about your hair. I do too. He's trying to tell you you are beautiful with messy hair.
