Been dating someone for over 2 years. He tells me he won't tell anyone we are in a relationship until he can see a future. He tells people he's 'seeing someone'. 10 minutes before this when I asked him if we are in a relationship (because he tends to contradict, gaslight and go back on his words) I wanted to put him on the spot since he avoids actually answering with a yes or no answer. He said yes it is a relationship, but doesn't tell his work colleague's or anyone that he has a girlfriend.
He tells me he won't have sex or call it a relationship unless he can see a future with the person. So obviously sex has stopped- approx 2 months ago. Prior to this we had a sexual romantic relationship.
It's really bizarre and concerning that he behaves in this manner and any mention of this from me, he acts like he's put his cards on the table and has been 'clear with me'. He avoids any accountability for upsetting me or leading me on.
I've blocked him many times before on WhatsApp and he just resorts to calling me to have a normal conversation like nothings happened. Obviously a part of me had hoped he'd realise how toxic his behaviour is and actually show up as the man I want.
2 years in and there's no progression. He won't try to even plan a future let alone Easter weekend plans. there's never been any priority towards me. No romantic plans. No valentines. No Christmas celebrations. Nothing. I feel totally played by this man
