Why don't men like shopping?

We guys like shopping, but it's different from the way most women shop.

We know what we want, we go to the store and buy it. Unlike women, who go into 5 or 6 stores until they find exactly what they are looking for, only to take it back when they find the same thing, or similar thing, at a cheaper price, in another store.

The only store we walk around in and "window shop" is a DIY store like Home Depot or Lowes. We'll spend hours in there, and maybe buy nothing... but we get lots of good ideas.

Men generally figure out what they NEED, and then put together the money to buy it. Women tend to take money to the store and try to find things to spend it on. Men find this backwards, needless, and tedious. We go to the store to get the things we left the house to get, with the goal of returning home ASAP. The less we spend, the better. "Retail Therapy" isn't a thing for most men.

Not true at all.

I could spend a whole weekend shopping.

What we don’t always like is shopping with women. Why? Our opinions are not truly welcome all the time. What we would like to see you in is not what you may want to wear. We like to get in, pick out what we need, and get out whereas for women - it tends to be a longer and more intensive process.

I mean... I do, but I'm pretty frugal with money. I like dressing well and getting stuff for the home. But when I go out I do tend to stress about my budget.

Men's clothing selections are also generally quite limited, so it's not like we're spending hours and hours looking over thousands of different style options.

I like shopping just fine. I just don't want to aimlessly wander around every store. I get what I want/need and get out. I only dislike shopping when I'm with my girlfriend.

I like shopping but that's conditional! I will enjoy online shopping, food shopping, weird stores like hot topic or Spencer's, dollar stores, men's suits n ties, souvenir shopping, holiday n birthday shopping for someone.
