I can never tell when older men are flirting with me?

A delivery guy who regularly comes to my job always greets me and stuff and today he was setting down a bunch of boxes and was saying how hot it was outside ( which he’s been complaining a lot about lately and how he’s been sweating ) and how the boxes were exercise and he was like “you’re just trying to see me work out” implying like maybe in a flirtatious way. Was he flirting with me? I’ve never made a move on him or said anything I’m just nice. I don't know why he said that lol. Also it’s confusing because another one of my coworkers who I’m close with likes him and has been trying to get with him but she gave him her number but he’s not really putting any effort into her.

You're very young, so basically ALL GUYS are "older men"... So let's say you don't know when a guy's flirting with you... Because from 25 to 55 the style is part of the guy's personality. Whatever "boyish charm" he cultivated as a young man as being tried and true will be the same method he uses as an older guy (perhaps with a bit of hesitation if he's been out of the loop for a while due to a prior relationship).

1. He'll probably start with nonverbal communication --> A smile, a look, a nod, etc. designed to let you know that he sees you and is possibly interested.

2. Minor vocal recognition --> A sound (a whistle, clearing his throat, etc) designed to get your attention to see if you'll look at him or ignore him.

3. Verbal + nonverbal communication --> "Hi" or anything more, with lingering gestures to indicate he wants to be and stay close to you. He might touch your back or arm/hand while talking (which is appropriate); if he touches your leg or more and you've only just met he's a dbag.

4. Questions & Reciprocity --> He keeps the conversation going with questions (some silly, some personal, etc.) to keep the conversation going. He shares a bit about himself as well to see if you'll also ask questions.

5. Hospitality/Manners --> A guy's manners will come out a bit more readily when he's trying to get a gal to like him. He might offer to cover the cost of your drink or something.

6. Contact Info & Follow Up Meeting --> He'll as for your number, possibly ask to meet you again, etc.

There's a bit more, but this is the "training wheels" version for a young lady...
