How can a guy love a girl and but ignore her for days?

Life is weird. My ex and I had started talking again. I told him from the beginning that I wasn't looking to jump back into a relationship. He said ok like he respected it. ( no we're not hooking up) so he would call me a lot and we would long talks and just laugh. It was good. Then he started to tell he loves and misses me. And would ask me to give another shoot. I don't know when we together before it wasn't healthy. He said he's not the same guy anymore. And I need to quitting looking back at the past. I told him I didn't believe he loves me and misses me. He said he doesn't just say for fun. I don't know I haven't heard from in 2 days. He just stopped talking. Should I reach out? Or leave it be?

You basically told him you're not interested in getting back together, that you don't believe he loves you, even though he said he did... and you're now complaining that he hasn't contacted you in two days?

Grow up lady. When you push someone away, they are gone. If I were him, I'd be finding myself another woman. You'd be toast.

I did not complain. I asked for advice... saying hey should I reach out to him or leave him be? So here's some of the back story. We were together 7 years ago. He was abusive. We broke up. He got back with his baby momma. 7 years later... he's wanting to get back together? Why?
