I told a male friend that I was on a date, but suddenly, I was having a drink with the guy's friends. Later, he brought his friends back home, and I went along to help get them home safely. Suddenly, his friends wanted to hug me, even though I had never met them before.
My friend then said that the friends, of the guy I was on a date with, found me attractive. That's why they wanted to hug me, he said.
But that can't be right, can it? It was just them saying goodbye and being nice about it, right?
I am not attractive. At least that is my opinion.

Girl, that does seem a little... off that his friends suddenly wanted to hug you when you'd never met before. I could see a friendly handshake or high-five, but hugs are usually more intimate.
And your male friend there noticing they found you attractive and saying so - that made me raise an eyebrow too. Like was he trying to gauge your reaction or something? Plant an idea in your head?
I wouldn't say for certain their intentions were bad, but it does seem odd behavior. Hugging a stranger goodbye, especially a girl, usually only happens if there's some interest or attraction there on their part. But that doesn't mean anything about YOUR attractiveness! Don't put yourself down.
I'd just be wary trusting your guy "friend" after that interaction. Why did HE feel the need to point out them finding you attractive? That part seemed unnecessary and like he was trying to say something more between the lines, you know?
I think from now on, don't go alone with this friend when his other friends are around. Keep some distance and trust your gut feelings more. This situation sure gave me an uneasy vibe - please be careful! You don't deserve to feel uncomfortable or unsure about people's true motives.
You think my friend meant something else? 😲
It seems like you are underestimating yourself.
