Am I wrong for telling my boyfriend to stop obsessing over some guy I rejected in school?

My boyfriend told me that he's going to make sure the guy I rejected in school has his life destroyed. I told him to stop being so immature, and he accused me of defending him. I told him that I rejected him in SCHOOL, and he didn't know that I was in a relationship, and now that I'm in college he really should let this go ( it happened 2 or 3 years ago). He accused me of defending him and now is suspicious I was cheating on him. Am I wrong for telling him to stop with this madness?

Your boyfriend is extremely insecure and childish. You are not wrong for telling him to stop. It isn't healthy that he is obsessing about something that is in the past and had nothing to do with him. What is even worse is that it is over rejecting someone which means that you had no interest or connection with this guy from your school. Why would someone worry about a person that you clearly didn't like romantically. That to me is crazy behavior. If anything you need to be reevaluating your current relationship. If he is this upset over someone that you rejected what is next when someone takes interest in you and he flips out? Even if you do the right thing and politely reject the guy and explain that you have a boyfriend... how is he going to react?

No. He needs to grow up. I'd be worried about continued behavior like this. If it progresses, eventually you won't be allowed to leave the house alone because he's paranoid about every guy on the planet and you'll be accused constantly. I'd be stern and tell him to end this stupidity and if he can't or won't, you're probably better off without this one.
