What is beauty based on?

So, here’s the thing: I’m at an ideal weight, but my face is slightly chubby, and I have some asymmetry. Is it noticeable? My height is around 174 cm, and I don’t really wear makeup. I also have a friend whose face is average but very symmetrical. Her weight and height fit into the category that men generally find appealing.

The thing is, whenever we meet someone, men always seem to like her, not me. They always ask for her Instagram, constantly talk to her, and ignore me. Even when we’ve both been introduced, most of them talk to her directly in a very casual manner, as if I don’t even exist in the room.

I’m really curious about the reason behind this. Is the problem with me? How do men decide what’s beautiful?

Are you Happy. Do you smile. Do you have a beautiful heart if you see someone struggling somehow you into helping hand. Are you smart are you kind I would say You're beautiful then because beauty starts on the inside that's where true beauty is and for me all I have to do is look into your eyes and I could tell

So for me that's what I base my beauty on

Most people are different they just focus on the outside
But I don't like being like anybody else just because I feel this way or see it this way it doesn't mean I'm right but for me I am

First, go out more without that friend of yours 😂 It's not good for your selfesteem.

Second, nobody really decide's what is beautiful (although some people like to believe otherwise).

Third, there has been a study on this. The result of it being that men and women perceive those faces to be more beautiful that are closer to the average face of every man or women of the same race.

Do you think men are solely attracted to looks? Maybe it's not her looks they are attracted to but how she carries herself.. relaxed and out to enjoy herself with her supposed 'friend' who secretly thinks she's average could be what's putting guys off you. Oh yeah people picks vibes off others and have a beacon on who to avoid. You're not a very kind friend to her. Maybe ditch her and get someone more your level on 'attractive' and attitude.

Beauty standards only matters in modeling, marketing, entertainment industry. In real life, you will always see "average" people having a happy love life.. not just those people with symmetrical faces, perfect bodies, such and such..

Everyone deserves love.

Lots of people are pretty/handsome but beauty, to me at least, comes from within and is amplified by the looks rather than defined by them.


Looks wide symmetry, fertility markers, health markers etc tend to be the common cross cultural ones.

The more symmetrical you are, the more attractive you are. This is a known psychological phenomena. If your asymmetry comes from something minor, like sleeping on your side, try sleeping on your back and see how it changes your face.
