Why he doesn't decline my friend request on snapchat?

I met a boy during summer, he was nice and has a girlfriend. I knew him only for 2 weeks and after that we never saw or talk to each other. It's been 5 months. I decide to add him on snapchat and i search his username. Few days after, i received a friend request from a boy. It was his friend. So he sent his friend to ask me what i wanted. But why would he do that if he is in a relationship and can just refuse my friend request without sending his friend to talk to me? Why is he so curious about it? And now he still hasn't refuse my request or accept it. It's just there. What do you think about it? Am i just thinking too much?
