Why does my boyfriend have a screenshot of another girls instagram in his hidden folder?

I went through my boyfriend's phone (bad I know) and I went into his hidden folder and saw he had a screenshot of a girls instagram profile. He doesn't follow her but I saw her name on his instagrams search history. Why would he have a screenshot of her profile in a hidden folder? And when I confronted him about seeing her name in his search history he acted like he had no idea who I was talking about. Im just confused why he would lie and why he would screenshot her profile.

The only reason I can come up is that he is consider to make you his future ex-boyfriend. Otherwise, why would anyone have a hidden folder?

One does have one of them if one has something to hide from the partner and looking and keeping those girls in storage can only mean that he has been considering getting rid of you in favor of someone else.

Obviously he will tell you that he does not know about that hidden folder. His reaction is simply put, the first nail in his coffin.

You cannot have a computer or smartphone with a hidden folder installed by default. You have to be active and create such a hidden folder. It is clearly a lie because your boyfriend is not telling you the entire truth.

Guys look at girls. They will always look at girls no matter how hot you are or how much in love with you they are. If you fight them on looking at girls, you will never have a boyfriend because they all look at girls. They look at girls in public, they look at girls on the internet, they look at girls in clothes, they look at naked girls, they look at girls having sex. The more you hassle them, the more trouble you will have in your relationship. It's harmless. Just leave it alone.

The screenshot is just over 2 weeks old and we've been seeing each other for 3 months. I've met his whole family and he's met mine and plans his future with me

He’s talking to her, that is what the signs show and that is what your intuition is trying to tell you. Sadly you can’t even confront him about this because of how you found out.

Honey he knows that you are nosey, and I don’t say that in a mean way at all it’s just your actions have already shown it. Unless he’s plain stupid he wouldn’t leave a paper trail like following her on his social media. That’s the obvious first place you or any suspicious girlfriend would check. You aren’t with him 24/7, nobody can be. You’ve got to work, as does he, you need to be apart. I’m not saying he’s full blown cheating or anything like that but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Too much for there not to be.
