I told him not to contact me, and he hasn’t reached out since. What does this mean? Does it show that he’s respecting my wishes, or is it a sign that he doesn't care enough to try? Should I reach out to him, or leave things as they are?

1 yIt is a sign that he is respecting your wishes.
It is unquestionably a good thing.
Anyone decent will respect it if you say you don't want them to contact you again. This should be what you expect. The default expectation when you say this to someone.
It's a huge red flag if any guy does contact you when you tell him not to. That is a problem. A big problem.
I do, however, think it's very silly to tell someone not to contact you again... when you still want contact.
So whether or not you reach out is totally dependent on you, and your situation.

1 ySo you asked a guy to not contact you. He complied with your request. Now you're whining because he hasn't contacted you? What the fuck is wrong with you? Were you just shit testing this guy? Fucking with his mind. Well you just fucked yourself honey. He believed you. He moved on.

You get what you wished right? What’s now?
There nothing can keep a man away from you, not even you yourself, if he wants you. If he wants he will reach you.05 Reply- 1 y

No, that is not what it means. Men look at this differently. Read the men’s comments and you’ll even see their sentiments on the matter.

1 yHe’s honoring your request & if you reach out to him after telling him not to contact you I hope he tells you to go pound sand. Do him a favor & don’t reach out or contact him.
40 Reply How many times are you going to ask this same question? Cutting bits out and rephrasing it over and over isn't going to change the answer. You're still asking the same thing and expecting a different answer. The very definition of insanity. This is why anon posting should be removed.

Bro she is crazy why else tell someone to leave her life then wonder why they aren't reaching out. she's a nutjob
If he really cared, part of me feels like he would've at least checked in. The silence makes it seem like he moved on too easily. Maybe he was just waiting for a reason to disappear. I’m torn, but reaching out now might only show I cared more than he did.
00 ReplyIt could mean he’s respecting your boundaries, or maybe he took your words as final and chose to walk away. It doesn’t automatically mean he doesn’t care some guys just take things at face value. If you still care or want clarity, reach out. Otherwise, let things stay as they are.

1 yI’ve been in a similar situation before... But with time, I realized that if someone truly values you, they won’t let distance or silence be the final answer. They’ll find a way to show they care. If he’s not reaching out, it could mean he’s moved on—or he was never as invested as you were. Either way, don’t chase someone who isn’t fighting to keep you in their life. If he wanted to, he would...

@Theodish_Warrior I’m not against competition, but love isn’t a game of options... it’s about choosing someone despite having them. If he values me, he’ll make that clear, just like I would in return. respect goes both ways, and real connections aren’t built on who has the most choices, but on who chooses to stay even when they do..

If it was a game on your part to see how much he wants you, then it was a bad game. Another girl might have played the same game and he could well be over this particular merry dance.
Having done the 'treat them mean & keep them keen' polka once, I'm not doing it again.
If you are genuine, then reach out with an apology.
00 Reply375 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. He's doing what you asked, respecting your wishes and maybe hurting too. Perhaps saying things you mean instead of how you feel is where you should have made different decisions.
If you're interested in maintaining something then YOU need to make the move now as he's in the dark about what you're after. He may have moved on and want nothing more to do with you as his life is simpler and less harmful

1 yMy personal opinion is that going no contact or 'ghosting' is cowardice, other than in genuine situations of abuse. If you loved someone and things moved on, I do not see how there is any downside to maintaining contact. I maintain contact with my girlfriend of 30 years ago. I still love her, even though I never want to be her partner again.

1 yHe probably doesn't want a harassment case on his hands. If you've cooled off a bit, you should contact HIM. I'm in a similar situation right now. I get what you mean about feeling he doesn't care, but at the same time, you don't want to seem pushy. But from YOUR position, you also don't want to seem desperate and maybe he doesn't either. So it's kind of a lose lose situation.

1 yIt has nothing to do with how much he cares about you... he's respecting your wishes. You told him not to contact you, so he didn't.
If you want to talk with him, you need to be the one to reach out.
20 Reply 945 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. You told him not to contact you, and he didn't. What the hell is the problem here?
51 ReplyThe problem here is that. She wants that he should not contact her but deep inside she also wants that he should contact her even if he don't wants to, but unless she wants. he wants she wants bla bla bla
1 yThe problem with women is that, they'll say do this, then when you do, they wonder where you are, but, then when you actually do try and reach out to them, they say you're stalking them.
They need to make up their mind, before we try anything
00 ReplyDepends how you said it. If you were angry or upset and told him not to contact you, that was a sign for him not to contact you at all. And what lead to you telling him not to contact you? That could explain why he hasn’t responded
00 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. What the F do you want? You asked him to not contact you and like a mature adult he has not. He did try and you rejected him. He's moved on. Games are for children.

You told him what you want, he is doing that, sounds like a happy end.
If you think you might have made a mistake, and you would still like to have him in your life in whatever capacity, it's up to you to reach out.

1 yMy God, really? You are actually wanting to reach out to him because he isn't contacting you BECAUSE you told him not to?

1 yIt shows he's a dummy and either was wanting a way out or just a dummy and doesn't realize that's usually when that woman needs you the most.

1 yHe listened. Stop playing these stupid types of games. Men do not care about being involved with someone playing childish games.
00 ReplyUhm, it means that if you didn’t mean what you said, you should reach out and apologise. Only the occasional persistent guys or even stalky guys will ignore your request when it’s that direct.
