Girls does it bother you when guys try to take charge?

How do you mean take charge? If you mean that the guy rules the relationship and he is supposedly "in charge" then yeah I'd have a problem with that. Relationships are a give and take and not a one sided affair. Those that believe they can dictate what happens in a relationship rarely stay in one for long unless their counterpart is weak. If that ends up being the case then they are pretty much are pretty much a predator that looks for that sort of person that is going to bend to someone's will. That's not the sort of person that I would be with or put up with. So no that isn't something that I'd be interested in... a partner that takes charge.

It all depends in which context he would want to take charge.

If it is in a field where the others lack expertise or experience, then sure. It can only be an asset in a group if a person that is knowledgeable in a particular field can take over or take responsibility for the entire group rather than to let the group struggle.

However, there are also plenty of women that are very capable of taking charge and even be better than a great number of men.

It becomes obnoxious if a man wants to take charge at all costs just to show off and without having the required knowledge or qualifications, just so that he can show off.

That would be a total red flag and no-go for me.

Ty for inviting me to share an opinion. I guess I can only echo others in here by saying it depends in what context. I am rather old fashion and like it if a guy has the initiative to take charge and sometimes I am too lazy to want to take charge and like if we're in a plane and the pilot dies and a guy passenger is qualified to fly then yes, please, take charge. 🤣

But if I'm out in my garden or something and some guy comes along trying to tell me how to do it then no, we're gonna' have us an issue or two.

As long as it's all in good fun, that would not bother me. If it is serious, then I want him to talk to me first, and discuss as equals. It would bother me if he just shoves me aside or gives orders, instead of telling me what's going on and trusting me to work with him to fix it.

Only when they’re obnoxious about it and try to take charge with everything. I don’t mind a man taking charge when it’s the right occasion, but I don’t need him to control me or my life.
