I have a close friend at work and we’ve always had chemistry but he’s engaged and I respect that. I never tried crossing any boundaries and we often had lunch or just chatted about work issues for support. I messaged him to ask to chat as I was crying after a senior executive was quite abusive to me and he said he can’t talk anymore. I asked why and he said he’s grown attracted to me as well to the point he feels an urge to take care of me if I’m upset like that and it makes him feel like he’s cheating on his fiance. So he needs to distance himself because he’s found himself thinking about me and wondering if he’s making right choice to get married. Now he won’t talk to me at all and avoids eye contact. It’s devastating. Did I do something wrong? I have never ever hit on him.
