Why do men always feel the need to impress women?

First, we all guys and girls generally become more concious around people we love or care about.
Not that I want to impress her, but girls do test men by nature. So I have to be "worthy". And surely if someone knows they are not worthy -almost all know themselves-, then just "impress" in whatever way or manner would be the case; cheap.
Otherwise, I really want the girl I like -not currently there- to see my strength points and acknowledge them or at least know that I have something to do and she doesn't mind me putting my life into it.
I hope it makes sense 😶.

Not impressing her, but a girl I like or love is really something big and very important to me.
That's my personal take.

Plus, would it be due to any external sources of promotion or advertising? since I don't really follow or consume or expose myself to any of it.
If I may ask, what makes you ask this question? I mean isn't it a good thing after all 🤔. Or did you mean those doing it the cheap way only as in a luxurious car or muscles.. etc.

No clue as to what you're talking about. I can't think of a time outside of being a teenager where i've tried to impress a woman.

Maybe you're confusing it with men attempting to SEPARATE themselves from other men. Now some guys might say or do things that might APPEAR he's trying to impress her, and all he's really trying to do is say, "All those other guys are cookie cutter. I'm the guy you want to focus on".

I think young men have not LEARNED yet that you cannot tell a woman anything. Women have to figure things out for themselves, sometimes s-l-o-w-l-y and painfully. All a guy can do is influence her. And that is by putting himself in the best conditions for her notice him. That way she thinks it was HER idea.😆. Women do this to men all the time to. They manipulate them with feminine wiles. And the inexperienced man does not see it coming. He thinks asking her out was HIS idea.😆 nah bro she put that idea in his head.

LOL, a Mercedes? Bad example. Mercedes are total crap. I've owned 3. Never again. Luxury branding at its worst. And not all men feel a need to impress women. I feel the need to keep women at arms length until I get a read on them. And even then, 95% of them continue to get the stiff arm permanently. Because I got a read on them.

Evolutionary biology. Even in “lesser” species, it’s common for males to have to use sophisticated mating calls and/or dances to impress females and entice them to mate. In others, the males even build a nest or spawning site, and the females select based on the homiest boudoir. Males chase, females choose. That’s the way it has always been and every attempt to alter that natural fact results in chaos, confusion and ultimately loneliness.

Maybe because that’s what a lot of women have shown to men as far as how we get their attention. I mean even back in the day the women want a man who could hunt, provide, protect. So yes we have to impress most women otherwise they won’t won’t much to do w you. Even in nature the males have to impress the females.
