A Beginner's Guide to Running

Let's just say that running has always been a part of my life. I'm a former soccer player; obviously, soccer is a sport that requires a lot of running. I have to admit that I used to love running a lot but I'm currently in a "l'm-just-going- to-stay-in-bed-and-eat-pizza-all-day" phase. I'm a lazy person now that soccer is over; I went from running 3 to 4 miles every day to only running 2 miles every other day. For some people running might be a lot of work. I mean, why would you run when you can walk? I advice you to change your mind, running is healthy for you! You don't even have to run fast. My advice to you is to start running two laps a day every week until you can do one or two miles at a time. Go easy on yourself, running can be very hard when you're out of practice.if you push yourself to the point where it’s completely miserable you won’t go back and do it again the next day. Try to make consistency your only priority.

So, what about you? Do you like or dislike going for a run? Why do you run? What do you listen to? Where and when do you run? In the morning or at night? I’d love to hear your routines. What running gear do you wear? I like wearing a sports bra or a tank top and leggings.

I really hope this myTake has been helpful and inspiring for you running beginners!

Love,

Clarisa <3
