Don't like abortion? Don't have one.
Yep! It's really that simple (:
Don't like violence? Don't do that.
Don't like killing? Don't do that.
Don't like drugs? Don't do that.
Don't like stealing? Don't do that.
My point with this ^ is that with that logic it sounds like everything should be legal and if you don't like something, you shouldn't do it, but it isn't important if other people do it or not. Therefor I thinks that's a bad argument in this debate. I'm a pro-life and I've seen better pro-choice arguments earlier.
@curiousnorway That's their issues, not ours.
@Unit1, if that's their issues and not ours we could simple legalize murdering, drugs, terrorism etc. With that logic it's only affecting the people in the situation and not everyone else regardless if it's abortion, murdering, theft or terrorism.
@curiousnorway I'm not talking politics.
@Unit1, abortion is part of politics. The "Don't like it, don't do it" logic has it's flaws and that's what my point is.
@curiousnorway Sure. Which is why things should be accessible to those, who need it instead of banning it categorically.
Marry me.
you act like woman enjoy getting abortions.
somehow idiot atheists still think like this
Like what?
@goaded they say that the human fetus is a parasite, and they're pro abortion... bullshit
Anti-forced birth would probably be a better description.
There's a reasonable discussion to be had, but not with excessively stupid people who insist that a human is formed at the instant of fertilisation.
They are ignoring the fact that 50-70% of fertilised eggs are miscarried in the first 12 weeks, often without the woman even knowing about it.
They fight against contraception that stops the egg from implanting in the womb, because that single cell is a person, darn it!
Then they lobby for laws that make the woman wait after making her decision, increasing the possibility of the fetal suffering and forcing real, unnecessary, suffering on the woman.
If they didn't encourage abstinence only sex education, there would be fewer unintended and unwanted pregnancies, which would reduce the number of abortions in the first place.
@goaded that thing it's going to be a person. killing it would be unfair, and what about the mentally ill people, are they not human?
Of course they're bloody humans, and you're talking about some of my family, here. They have fully developed digestive systems, breathe air, have brains and eyes and ears and they communicate. Are you equating that with a single cell? Go just one step further and each menstruation is a murdered potential person, the woman should have had sex to fertilise the egg. Frequently. From about the age of 12.
If you think that idea is abhorrent, then you have an idea of how I think of the idea that a fertilised egg = a person. There's a reason vegetarians still eat eggs.
@goaded i said it's going to become a person. and killing it before birth would be a bad thing
50-70% of them aren't going to become a person, even without medical intervention.
@goaded if its the nature, we can't do anything about it, but if is controlled murder, is unfair, and besides all that, prostitutes can use the abortion too, shouldn't be legal
key word ''life''
