Its about the culture. I know this is very common in India.
Yes, it is. In India bidets are installed in the washrooms be it home or in hotels, malls etc. In India we believe in washing/rinsing and not just wiping!

I live in Middle East so there's always bidet and if I were in western countries I'll hold it
I was raised this way so If I don't do it i feel really dirty and stinky
