My next question to Girls.Does anyone knows how to loose weight if you are suffering from HypoThyroidism?

Let's suppose a girl having a problem of Hypo-thyroidism.
Doctor usually prescribes some medicine which you need to take untill your thyroid is in control. Now you can control the thyroid functioning by the medicines
But what about the weight? How one can loose the weight? This is for one of my very dear & a very close friend.

I have hypothyroidism and started medications for over a year and I'm also a pharmacist. Loose weight, simple, exercise and diet. I have kept the same weight since starting the medication and my lab work has been normal, but on top of that I exercise 600-800 calories 3-5 times a week. If she has swelling or is retaining fluid, then she should see a doctor to get more testing/assessment done to make sure it's not something else.

I think going to the gym and eating healthier would be beneficial. The medication will help with the weight

You're a personal trainer and didn't know that eating healthy and going to the gym would help someone lose weight. What the actual fuck? lol

When my grandma was diagnosed with this. I put her on a diet/exercise plan.

1/2 apple breakfast
Walk a mile
Whatever she wants to eat for lunch
Work out DVD
1/2 apple for dinner
Walk at least half a mile

She lost an ass load of weight.
