Is this space between the teeth normal when mouth is shut?

There's this space between my front upper teeth and lower teeth when i keep my mouth shut that i can run my tongue through it. Is this gap normal or should my teeth be completely shut and no space?

That's called an overbite and everyone has it, it's normal but I'm not sure if it's normal for it to be big enough to run your tongue through you may need to go see a dentist just to be sure

no, i am not talking about an overbite. Teeth are aligned correctly.
Simply my lower jaw won't stay closed, similar to when you sleep with your mouth opened just that my lips are closed but the upper and lower teeth won't touch themselves at all and there's a space between them.
It's not a big gap but in order for the teeth to touch themselves i need to force my jaw a bit and feels kind of uncomfortable
And i was wondering if your teeth touch when you keep your mouth shut.

Ohhhh yeah that's different you should get that checked for sure

I don't think it's abnormal. I think it just means you have small teeth or you have normal teeth and a big mouth

Some people have a gap, some don't. Some people's upper teeth are VERY slightly in front of the lower teeth. Unless it's causing you discomfort. Don't worry about it you're fine.

I have a gap in my teeth my dentist said its nothing to worry about and if I want braces then I can do, hope this helped.

:) i don't think we have the same thing on mind. And to be honest i can't really explain my situation that well. It's not a gap, just that i can't close shut my lower jaw so that the upper teeth to touch the others. There's a space and i was asking if this is normal.
