GIRLS ONLY: if my period came more than 40 days after the last one?

After my last period I thought it would be 28 days until my next period... on the day I thought it would come.. it didn't so I thought it was a day off or something but weeks began to pass and I new something was irregular...47 days after the last period is when it came... is something wrong?

Mine has even came after 4 months, went to a check-up and had an ovarian cyst. Gave me some pills and my period came and the cyst went away. If you haven't been sexually active, may just be not regular, because you're still going through puberty. If it exceeds more than 2 months and you feel a little discomfort or pain in any of the sides, just go to the doctor, you'll do an echo to see if all's good. If it's ok , the doctor can just give you pills for your period to come and if it's a cyst, same thing, nothing to worry :)

Mine has been out of whack since I started, except when I'm on birth control and I'm 30. There are many things that can affect it like having a low BMI or being very active are probably the two more common ones for people your age and those usually work things out as you get older. But it also can be hormones or thyroid but you would have other symptoms, and those are more uncommon at your age.

The simple answer is, periods as you already know is irregular for at lot of young girls and can be for a long time.

It's not a problem to have irregular periods, until your periods have already stabilised. If you period had been regular for years and then suddenly become irregular, then it would be cause for concerned and you should see a doctor. But until then it's actually quite normal.

Mine came every other month and has settled at 36 days. I'd relax, because you are still young. When you get to your twenties it should level out. Although, It never hurts to visit the doctor. Go just to be sure.

When i was younger this happened too. My period came never regularly. But as i got older it got normal.
But if you're still concerned, then visiting a doc is not a bad idea.

Varying reasons. Only your doctor can answer for sure. Now if you are not preggers then I would look at stress level & sometimes even thyroid can be a culprit.

It's very normal. Mine once didn't come for 8 months. :)
